Are you a newbie in fitness?


You have recently decided that it is time to do some fitness and if this is the case then perhaps you will need some guidelines in the beginning. Then you might need to read this article.

First things, first – so congratulations, because you have taken step number one towards achieving better shaped body and sharper mind. Because those two things go together - when you deal with fitness then you are improving your body and when your body is in a good shape that also reflects your mind. It is not just a phrase what old Greeks used to say, but it is true – Healthy spirit in healthy body!

It is a fact that exercising and fitness can literally help improving and even curing your health problems. First of all when you regularly do exercises you help yourself with preventing your body from some type of diseases like forms of cancer or heart illnesses. Fitness also helps you get rid of depression, as well as you feel better if you have some extend of arthritis.

There is no doubt about the fact that fitness and regular exercising help you lose weight, get back into form, and stay fit and toned.  The only thing that you need to prepare yourself for is that if you want to get benefits from doing this and you want to keep your form, then you should not stop, but exercise regularly. Of course this does not mean that you have to spend every day at the fitness gym, it just means that you should not give up after some time. It is the same like in cars or machines – they need oil to move on. And if you want your body to work in a proper order then fitness is your oil.

And the best thing is that it is not necessary to go only in the fitness gym, there are so many and different options for doing exercises. You can go walking or dancing, biking or even gardening. The important thing is to do something that moves your body. And the most important is that this activity has to be something that you enjoy doing. When you enjoy it then you will be more willing to make this your habit and you will get benefits from it much more quickly.

Perhaps you may ask yourself – how much time do you need to spend in exercising? Well it is not needed to have hours available for this activity. If you enjoy doing it you can spend some more time, but if you do not have enough time for fitness – around thirty minutes are enough. You can use the road to your work or back home and spend it in walking. If you do not have that time you can make a few ‘laps’ around your desk every couple of hours – it might sound a bit strange, but you would not bother anyone with doing this, and at the same time you will give your body the energy and the fitness that it needs.

So when you are ready to get started and you want regularly do your exercises, you can get some advice from professional fitness experts. They will explain to you what types of exercises you should do, depending on your health status and shape. You also need to remember to regularly check your heart rate and pulse during physical activity and different levels of intensity.

The calculated moderate intensity during physical activity for an average person should not be higher than 50 to 70% of his/her maximum heart rate.
